Paul's Magmar (Japanese: シンジのブーバー Shinji's Boober) is a Pokémon owned by Paul.

Magmar was first seen in a flashback in DP066 where it was shown defeating Maylene's Lucario in a gym battle winning the Cobble Badge.

It appeared again in DP100.

Moves used

Some speculate that Magmar is Paul's replacement for Chimchar, as in Glory Blaze!, he said after releasing Chimchar he would find another Fire-type.
Magmar is the second of Paul's Pokémon to first appear in a flashback, the other being Ninjask.
