DP131: Difference between revisions

As the [[full battle]] is about to begin, the one which will attack first is decided by the Coin Toss of Dawn's [[Pokétch]]. Ash wins, so he chooses {{AP|Buizel}}, while Paul sends out {{TP|Paul|Torterra}}. Once the battle started, Ash quickly returned Buizel and chose to send out {{AP|Gliscor}}. The battle then begins: Gliscor used {{m|Sand-Attack}} while Paul commanded Torterra to use {{m|Giga Drain}}, which was easily dodged. Ash orders his Pokémon to use {{m|X-Scissor}}, successfully hitting, and pushes Torterra backwards. Paul orders to use {{m|Frenzy Plant}}, but it was again dodged by Gliscor, who then went on to use {{m|Fire Fang}}. This hits Torterra badly. The Fang Scorp Pokémon followed it up with an {{m|X-Scissor}} and a {{m|Steel Wing}} attack, but when the second one hits Torterra, Gliscor's tail dangles down and was bitten by the big turtle Pokémon, pinning it in one spot and then wrappping it with Giga Drain. Ash's commands Gliscor to use Fire Fang on the Giga Drain attack to break it free, but it was already badly injured so Ash returned it back into its ball.

Ash orders Staraptor to use {{m|Quick Attack}}, but Weavile protected itself. It then used {{m|Swords Dance}} while the Flying-type was commanded to use {{m|Aerial Ace}}. Weavile switches to Blizzard, hitting Staraptor and making its Aerial Ace fail, but it still continues to fly. The Sharp Claw Pokémon jumped to Staraptor's back and used Metal Claw, making him crash again to the floor. Ash and Paul then told them to use Metal Claw and {{m|Close Combat}} respectively, making a close battle of slashes and blows, but Staraptor gets the upper hand and takes the control over its oponent. Weavile used Blizzard but Staraptor countered it with Brave Bird, being hurt in the process but finally [[Unable to battletaking Weavile down of the battle.  

Ash returns Staraptor to its ball while Paul sends out Electabuzz to battle Ash's {{AP|Grotle}}, then the battle re-begins.  Grotle was told to use {{m|Energy Ball}} but Electabuzz protected itself by using {{m|Light Screen}}. Paul quickly substitutes Electabuzz, returning it to its Poké Ball, sending out {{TP|Paul|Honchkrow}}. Grotle uses {{m|Razor Leaf}} at Honchkrow but Honchkrow easily dodges them all then using {{m|Night Slash}} which hits Grotle. Ash orders Grotle to use Energy Ball the second time, but Honchkrow was protected by Light Screen. Then, Honchkrow uses {{m|Haze}} to blind Grotle. Ash orders Grotle to use Razor Leaf but before it hits, Honchkrow was ready to use Night Slash, which hits Grotle the second time, but Grotle was too exhausted to fight so Ash told Grotle to use {{m|Synthesis}}. Honchkrow was ready to hit Grotle with its Aerial Ace, Grotle uses {{m|Rock Climb}}. However, Honchkrow was the winner of the match. Paul returns Honchkrow to its Poké Ball. {{AP|Pikachu}} told Ash that it's ready to battle, so Ash chooses Pikachu to battle the next round, while as everyone's surprise, Paul was revealed to have a {{TP|Paul|Magmortar}}.
