Just speculating, but, since this is a game about cards, I think maybe his name could be a play on the name of the card game [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Contract_bridge bridge] (ブリッジ) or the lesser-known card game [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biritch biritch] (ビリッチ).
