In your edit summary, you mentioned that every tournament has featured a rival beating a player character (Calem beating Serena, Hop/Bede/Marnie beating Gloria/Victor, and Blue beating Leaf). However, I don't think it makes sense to count both Calem/Serena and Blue/Leaf at the same time. | |||
The character based on the player character in the Kanto games is Red, so it feels weird to count Blue beating Leaf just because you can play as her in the games when the same is also true for Calem.
