Dawn's Ambipom: Difference between revisions

In ''[[DP037|The Grass Menagerie!]]'', Aipom was Ash's third and final Pokémon in his [[Eterna Gym]] Battle against [[Gardenia]], she went up against Gardenia's {{p|Roserade}} after performing a contest like introduction. She used Double Team and began to get close to Roserade but Roserade used {{m|Grass Knot}} intending to trip Aipom up like Turtwig, although it destroyed the Double Team clones, Aipom herself was able to jump and avoid Grass Knot. Aipom then hit Roserade with {{m|Focus Punch}}, Roserade then used {{m|Magical Leaf}}, but Aipom dodged by climbing on the trees. Using its vines, Roserade was able to grab Aipom using its vines. Roserade then used {{m|Flash}} blinding Aipom, making her unable to hit with her Focus Punch. Roserade then hit Aipom with Magical Leaf, initially panicking, Ash was able to calm down Aipom and got her to listen with her ears instead as she was still blind. Roserade used {{m|Weather Ball}}, which was {{type|Fire}} due to the {{weather|harsh sunlight}}, Aipom was able to listen for the Weather Ball and she then hit the Weather Ball with Focus Punch, punching it back to Roserade, dealing super-effective damage. Roserade then used Magical Leaf, but Aipom countered with Swift, opening her eyes as the effects of Flash had finished, the Swift then circled Roserade, then Aipom used Focus Punch on one of the Swift stars, knocking it into the Swift stars, causing them all to hit Roserade dealing major damage, Aipom then used the Focus Punch hitting Roserade, defeating the Bouquet Pokémon, winning Ash the {{badge|Forest}}.

In ''[[DP055|Throwing the Track Switch]]'', Ash began the {{pkmn|training}} for his next [[Gym]] {{pkmn|battle}} in [[Veilstone City]]. However, Aipom seemed to be more focused on watching Dawn's training and her style tended to be best suited for Pokémon Contests. Meanwhile, {{AP|Dawn's Buizel|Buizel}} was having the same problems as he was more interested in watching Ash's battle training and prefers battling over contests. Then, Zoey stops their training and reminds them what she told them back at the Jubilife Contest when she said that Aipom should be raised by Dawn. After seeing their training, Zoey sees that she was right because Aipom loves to perform while at the same time Buizel is being forced into contests. Zoey then suggested that Ash and Dawn trade their Pokémon. However, Ash and Dawn weren't entirely sure about going through with the trade, because Dawn knows how close Aipom is with Ash while the latter has seen all the hard work she put into Buizel's training. Through a suggestion from Ash, Aipom would team up with Dawn against Zoey while he teamed up with Buizel in a battle against Brock in hopes of seeing if the Pokémon are compatible with them, which they agreed to do. However, before they could battle, Team Rocket interrupted them in an attempt to steal Aipom and Buizel from them but stole [[Brock's Sudowoodo]] and [[Zoey's Glameow]] by mistake, but they decided to steal them anyway. Using their temporary Pokémon, Ash and Dawn were able to send Team Rocket blasting off and saved their friends Pokémon. After that, the {{pkmn|Trainer}}s agreed that a trade was for the best, and the trade took place.
