Fairy (type): Difference between revisions

The Fairy type widely considered, along with {{t|Steel}}, to be the best of all types defensively. It has key resistances to the powerful {{t|Fighting}} types, as well as the {{t|Dark}} and {{t|Bug}} types, which means resistance to {{m|Pursuit}} and {{m|U-turn}}. Most of all, it also has a useful immunity to {{t|Dragon}}-type moves (it should be noted, however, that most Dragon-type Pokémon can learn {{t|Steel}}-type moves to address this problem). Its only weaknesses are to {{t|Poison}} and {{t|Steel}}, both of which are rarely, if ever, used offensively.

Fairy is almost as useful offensively as well. It is strong against Dragon, Fighting, and Dark, all of which are other great types defensively. Though weak against Fire, Poison, and Steel, Fire types struggle defensively, Poison types are still statistically weak, and Steel is not common offensively. Additionally, every type that resists Fairy is weak to Ground, making Fairy types with Ground-type attacks potentially popular.
