:::Yeah, but no one in this section is talking about the English name, Furfrou. As for the Japanese name (which this section is about) isn't it the most obvious answer usually the right one? How are we overlooking that "chien" is the French word for dog and it transliterated into katana as シアン? That seems like the most likely connection to me.
