:The list includes non-sovereign territories (autonomous republics, etc.), and the republics of Russia can also fall under this definition. Unrecognised countries are still countries, but they can still be considered to be just territories, for those who would not recognise them as states. '''X'''[[User:Vuvuzela2010|'''Vuvuzela2010''']]'''X''' 11:52, 18 March 2012 (UTC)

::So does that mean that we could add Sealand to the list? And the EU is also more of a "country" (it has it's own elected parliament, currency, flag, anthem and it's possible to apply for EU citizenship) than any of those unrecognised territories and autonomous provinces. :::The list has included non-sovereign territories since it was created, so I don't think they sould be removed. And not all of the unrecognised countries are completely unrecognised. The problem with only including 'recognised' countries is that it would likely end up leading to edit wars, like for example, a Saudi user removing the Israeli tag because they don't recognise them. I'd consider Sealand to be in a different category, since 4 people live there. Don't know how to properly reply to the EU one, but it's more of an international organisation than a country. '''X'''[[User:Vuvuzela2010|'''Vuvuzela2010''']]'''X''' 12:16, 18 March 2012 (UTC)
