It first appeared practicing with Illumise, but Romeo's clumsiness causes them to all fall into the water and it has to be saved {{an|Brock}}'s {{TP|Brock|Lotad|Ludicolo}}. It appear again when Romeo shows Ash and {{Ashfr|his friends}} the routine. Romeo then uses Beat to find Illumise who has disappeared but then [[Team Rocket]] appear and suck up the other Volbeat, Beat uses {{m|Double-Edge}} to try and destroy it. freeing the Volbeat, Beat along with the other Volbeat uses a five-way {{m|Signal Beam}} attack, effectively blasting Team Rocket off.
