Unova: Difference between revisions

Although some of Unova is geographically based on New York, the creators of the region took some liberties in regards to the surrounding areas. Clearly, the largest city in Unova, [[Castelia City]], is based on {{wp|Lower Manhattan}}, but to the immediate north of Castelia is (as opposed to a continuing metropolis as in real life) a [[Desert Resort|vast desert]], although Nimbasa City, which is also north of Castelia, could be a reference to {{wp|Broadway (New York City|Broadway}}, which is located in Manhatten and both are the entertainment centers of their regions. To the east and west of the region are large mountains. Unova also contains many rural settlements. The division of Unova may also be a reference to the {{wp|Borough (New York City)|Boroughs of New York City}}.
