: These are interesting arguments.  Yes, the English versions explicitly and without exception refer to it in-game as "friendly" and not "happy", and there are some ways where it makes more sense that way (say, how can a {{p|Psyduck}} be all that ''happy'' when it is constantly having a headache?).  And yes, happiness is the term already used extensively across Bulbapedia.  But on the other hand, what is the term used in other language releases (like the Japanese originals) and what term does Nintendo/Game Freak officially refer to it as?  ("Happiness" also seems to roll off the tongue a bit easier than "friendliness", but that's just IMO.) --''[[User:Stratelier|Stratelier]] 18:22, 14 April 2011 (UTC)''
