Ash selects his faithful companion Pikachu for his final attack. Pikachu bolts forward with a {{m|Thunderbolt}} attack hitting directly but proving to take no effect on Metagross. Metagross retaliates with a Psychic attack but Pikachu manages to avoid the psychokinesis waves and uses then Iron Tail. Thereafter, Pikachu grasps onto Metagross's body and delivers an electrifying Thunder through Metagross's body, knocking Metagross out of the competition. This magnificent victory leaves both Tyson and Ash with only one Pokémon selection.
