Ash's Pikachu: Difference between revisions

In [[XY067]], Ash used Pikachu as his first Pokémon in his Lumiose Gym Battle against Clemont and went up against his Bunnelby. Pikachu used Thunderbolt, which was blocked by Bunnelby using its ears to create a mud shield. Bunnelby used {{m|Dig}} which was too fast for Pikachu to evade. Pikachu hit Bunnelby with Quick Attack, which Bunnelby quickly recovered from. It then used {{m|Double Slap}} but Pikachu used Iron Tail which the Digging Pokémon caught with its ears. This reminded Bonnie of their first battle. Instead of letting Pikachu counter with Electro Ball, Bunnelby used its new move, {{m|Wild Charge}}, dealing major damage to Pikachu. Bunnelby then hit Pikachu with another Dig. He then responded with Quick Attack, but Bunnelby used Dig again. However, Ash had Pikachu use Iron Tail on the ground, forcing Bunnelby to emerge and dealing major damage. Pikachu then used another Iron Tail, defeating Bunnelby. When Clemont sent out {{TP|Clemont|Heliolisk}}, Ash recalled Pikachu. He was later sent out to battle Clemont's last Pokémon, Luxray. Pikachu could take advantage of Luxray's {{m|Electric Terrain}}, which increased the power of {{type|Electric}} moves. Pikachu first used Thunderbolt, which was blocked by Luxray's {{m|Thunder Fang}}. It then used Wild Charge on Pikachu, dealing a lot of damage. Luxray followed up with {{m|Swift}}, but Pikachu was able to deflect it back to Luxray with Iron Tail. However the Gleam Eyes Pokémon countered with Wild Charge, defeating Pikachu.
