Although the Trace page says Trace (in Generation VI) affects the left-most Pokémon and shifts right as they faint, in my experience it is either completely random or a different method entirely. Moments ago I used Trace to find a Hidden Ability Nidoran, catching the far left one, which ended up having a different ability than what Trace claimed - Trace does not specifically target the leftmost Pokémon. I had the same experience trying to get a Steadfast Scyther. Apparently Trace works differently than stated on this page.[[User:Thomasdenhaan|Thomasdenhaan]] ([[User talk:Thomasdenhaan|talk]]) 18:47, 2 September 2014 (UTC) | :I had the same experience trying to get a Steadfast Scyther.
