 There are several glitch types, such as {{t|Bird}}, {{t|Pokémaniac}}, and {{t|999}} which are the types exclusively of [[Glitch|glitched Pokémon]] and only appear in [[Generation I]], except for the Bird type which appeared in [[Generation II]], although no Pokémon or attacks would have it in Generation II without hacking.
-In Generation II, a type called Light was supposed to be included in the game to combat Dark pokemon, but it was taken out before the game's release.  Pokemon known to originally belong to the Light type include Mareep's evolution line, and Chinchou's evolution line.  Pikachu was possibly going to be made into a Light/Electric pokemon.
