Ash's Goodra: Difference between revisions

After Goomy wet itself in fear, Clemont decided to use one of his inventions to see why Goomy was so terrified of Bug-type Pokémon. The machine revealed that Goomy's homeland was attacked by various Bug-type Pokémon, including Ariados, until Goomy and other inhabitants were rescued by Swanna before turning off and exploding. Goomy then affectionately played with Clemont and Serena until Ash and the others were pinned to a tree by {{TRT}} and Goomy and Pikachu were captured. Though the cage absorbed Pikachu's {{m|Thunderbolt}}, Pikachu rammed into the side of the cage until he made a hole big enough for them to squeeze out of. Goomy was able to slip through, but Pikachu couldn't for it was too tight for him. Seeing Pikachu's predicament, Goomy slipped back into the cage and made him all slippery using its slimy body.  

When they were about to escape, Team Rocket appeared, so they covered the hole from Team Rocket's sight so they wouldn't see that they were trying to escape. As soon as Team Rocket left, they escaped through the hole. Goomy had trouble keeping up with Pikachu, so Pikachu offered it to ride on his back. After being found out by Team Rocket, [[James]] chased after them but Goomy tripped him up with Rain Dance. [[Jessie]] sent out {{TP|Jessie|Pumpkaboo}} and ordered it to use {{m|Shadow Ball}} on them when Ash came and protected Goomy and Pikachu from the attack. {{AP|Fletchinder}} and Pikachu tried to fend off Team Rocket but they wound up getting {{status|Confusion|confused}} by {{TP|James|Inkay}}'s {{m|Psybeam}}, making them attack each other. Ash grabbed onto both of his Pokémon and tried to calm them down, but they started to attack him instead. Seeing what lengths Ash will go through to protect his Pokémon moved Goomy and made it want to help out. When Pumpkaboo and Inkay launched a {{m|Dark Pulse}} and another Psybeam at Ash and his Pokémon, Goomy jumped in the way to protect them and used {{m|Bide}} to absorb Pumpkaboo and Inkay's attacks and send it back at them twofold. Pikachu and Fletchinder's confusion wore off and Pikachu was able to send Team Rocket blasting off with Thunderbolt. Later, Goomy indicated to Pikachu that it wanted to go with Ash, so Ash captured Goomy using a Poké Ball.

Goomy is a very friendly Pokémon, as it likes to show its affection to others by nomming on their ears. It has also proven to be a capable fighter, but was initially scared until it decided to help Ash. Goomy is easily frightened and is afraid of {{type|Fairy}} Pokémon such as {{TP|Clemont|Dedenne}} since {{type|Dragon}}s are weak against Fairy-types. It's also afraid of {{type|Bug}} Pokémon such as {{p|Ariados}} as they destroyed Goomy's original home. When depressed or insulted, Goomy tends to use {{m|Rain Dance}} on the offender, as seen when it used the move on {{an|Serena}}.
