It hesitated at first to run through a large muddy puddle that was between itself and Serena but ran to its trainer after she was attacked by Team Rocket's Pokémon. As [[Jessie's Pumpkaboo]] dived down to attack with {{m|Fustration}}, Fennekin unleashed a {{m|Flamethrower}} attack and defeated the Pumpkin Pokémon before {{AP|Pikachu}} sent the villains blasting off.
