Also known as Cycling Road, the path that connects Celadon City and Fuchsia City (Routes 16, 17, and 18) is a favorite hangout spot for bikersOther than a few battles, it's a pretty easy ride down the slope to Fuchsia City.  Cut down the small tree before you approach the Snorlax to reach a hidden area.  Pass through the gate and enter the house on the other side, and the girl will give you 02 to keep her hideaway a secret.  Teach that to something like Pidgeot or Fearow, and you'll be able to visit any previous town in seconds.

Fuchsia City is home to the Fuchsia Gym, the sixth in the Indigo League.  On the north side of town, the Kanto is a wildlife preserve where visitors can view rare Pokémon in their native habitats.

The Fuchsia Gym is teeming with Poisons.  Psychic attacks are an easy choice to help take out the handful of Arbok, but Bug-, Ground-, and Poison-types all have immunity to Poison-type attacks.  There are quite a few Drowzee, Hypno, and Kadabra here as well, and because there are not many attacks with a type advantage, you may need to rely on brute force to clear them out.  The ninja master has set up invisible walls in his Gym to disorient his challengers, so you'll have to find the open spaces between the walls to find the path to the Gym Leader.
The Fuchsia Gym is teeming with Poison Pokémon.  Psychic attacks are useful against the few Arbok, and Grass or Water moves can take out the few Sandslash.  As for the dozen or so Psychic-type Pokémon, only Bug moves like Twineedle or Pin Missile are super-effective against them, so you may need to rely on brute force to clear them out.  The ninja master has set up glass walls in his Gym to disorient his challengers, forcing you to find the open spaces between the walls to find the path to the Gym Leader.

Six Gym Leaders down, two to go!  The Soul gives you the ability to surf across the water, which allows you to leave the Kanto mainland and head for Cinnabar Island in the southwest a little later.  It also gives a slight defense boost during battle.  Koga gives you 06 as a prize, a secret ninja technique is supposedly over 400 years old.  With your shiny new badge, jump off the ledge to the right of the Poké Center, and visit the Safari Zone Warden's home.

Warden's home
The Warden is a little distraught about losing his set of List of key items in Generation I.  If you find them while hunting in the Safari Zone, return them to the Warden and he'll reward you with 04.  Before entering the safari, stop in the house next door and talk to the Fishing Brothers inside to get the Fishing.  With this, you can finally fish for something other than Magikarp.  A few aquatic species like Poliwag and Goldeen can be found in his backyard pond.

The Warden is a little distraught about losing his set of I.  If you find them while hunting in the Safari Zone, be sure to return them to him to receive 04 as a reward!  Teaching this to a sturdy Pokémon like Rhydon or Tauros lets you move those big boulders around.  Try it out on the rock inside the Warden's home to reach the Vitamin behind it.

The Kanto is the city's main tourist attraction.  For PDollar500, each Trainer is given thirty Poké Ball and allowed to catch any Pokémon they find.  The catch is that you aren't allowed to use your Pokémon to weaken the wild Pokémon first; you are only able to throw a rock or bait before attempting capture.

* Throwing bait makes a Pokémon less likely to run, but harder to catch

* Throwing a rock makes it more likely to run, but easier to catch.

Try different combinations to see what works for each species.  There are many different varieties of Pokémon roaming the park, and quite a few items, too.  When you run out of Safari Balls or walk 500 steps, the game is over and you'll be warped to the entrance.
Safari Zone
The Kanto is the city's main tourist attraction.  For pdollar500, each Trainer is given thirty Safaris and allowed to catch any Pokémon they find.  The drawback is that visitors are restricted from using their own Pokémon to weaken the wild Pokémon first.  Instead, you may throw either bait or rocks before attempting capture. Throwing bait makes a Pokémon less likely to run, but harder to catch; throwing a rock has the opposite effect.  When you run out of Safari Balls or walk 500 steps, the game is over.

When you enter the final area, head straight down to find the Warden's List of key items in Generation I; return it to him to receive 04.  Walk to the west to find 32, and enter the Secret House.  It seems that no one else has ventured this deep into the park, so the HM03 is yours.  If you have something like Gyarados or Lapras with you, you can cross the pond south of the Secret House.  If you do, you can find a Potion and a Revive on the way east to the park's entrance.  Otherwise, you can backtrack and wander through some tall grass until the timer runs out, which likely won't be much longer.

Entrance
Step inside the safari and head to the northeast to enter the second area, Area 1.
Area 1
There are four items scattered around the second area.  Pick up a Vitamin on the rock platform, 37 in the pond, a Potion to the northwest, and a Potion near the rest house.  Walk past the rest house and head west.

Area 2
Go all the way to the west, then head north through the tall grass and climb onto the rock platform.  From here, follow the sideways S-bend westward to reach the northern section.  Pass through two more patches of tall grass and pick up 40.  After looping past the rest house, grab the Vitamin and follow the path around to the southwest.

Now that you can surf, you can reach the island in the front area to find a Nugget.  Back in the city, stop in the Warden's house to return the Gold Teeth. He rewards you with 04, and teaching this to a sturdy team member like Rhydon or Tauros lets you move those big boulders aroundTry it out now, and you can reach the Vitamin inside the Warden's home.
Area 3
In the final area, head south to find the Warden's I! Walk to the west to find 32, and enter the Secret House.  It seems that no one else has ventured this deep into the park, so the HM03 is yours.  Teach it to something like Gyarados or Lapras, and you can cross the pond to the southIf you do, you can find a Potion and a Revive on the way east to the park's entrance.  Otherwise, you can backtrack and wander through some tall grass until the timer runs out, which likely won't be much longer.

Now that you've checked out Fuchsia City, fly back to Lavender Town and head south to 12.
After exploring Fuchsia City, fly back to Lavender Town and head south to 12.
