:OK, I'll give you that, the Kanto NC tournament doesn't really feature a rival beating the player character because Red is the clear canon protag from the Kanto games. However, I maintain that saying it happens "often" is still accurate if it happens in 2 out of 3 tournaments. Perhaps we could combine the two statements? "Every tournament to date has featured only [[player character]]s and [[rival]]s, and they often feature a rival triumphing over a player character."
