It appears in the legend of Milos Island, where it is described as driving away Tornadus and Thundurus in the past. Ash, Iris, Cilan and Yūto attempt twice to summon it so it can heal the ruined land of the island, but they accidentally bring forth Tornadus and Thundurus instead. In the third attempt they are successful, and Landorus finally appears. Unlike Tornadus and Thundurus, Landorus understands the humans' plight, and engages Tornadus and Thundurus in battle to protect the island. They are interrupted by Team Rocket and nearly taken away by Dr. Zager in energy fields attached to his helicopter, but are saved when the heroes attack the helicopter and damage it. After resuming their battle, Landorus begins losing to Tornadus and Thundurus until Yūto gives it a Revival Herb, giving it enough strength to finish off Tornadus and Thundurus with a superpowered {{m|Hyper Beam}}.
