In [[XY084]], Serena, Pancham and Braixen began to think of a strategy on what they should do in their next Showcase. During their training, Braixen accidently breaks her twig. She becomes depressed and when the others tried to get a new one, she turned them down as she would never replace her twig. When they go to a Pokémon breeder named [[Jingoro]], they have a battle to see what Braixen can do with part of her twig. Team Rocket appears to attack when Braixen learned {{m|Fire Blast}} to defeat them, but in the process both her broken twig pieces get broken into more pieces. Pancham shows a twig he's been holding to give to Braixen. Serena and her Pokémon put their hands together on the twig, and Braixen accepts the new twig. Serena puts a bow on the twig in addition. Later, the gang puts her broken twig pieces and tied them together to lay them to rest. The gang leaves to their next location.
