Drew's Roserade: Difference between revisions

As a Roselia, Roserade first appeared in ''[[AG033|Now That's Flower Power!]]'' when Drew challenged {{an|May}} to a [[Contest Battle]] to determine who would get some [[Bluk Berry|Bluk Berries]]. It battled against [[May's Beautifly]], managing to stop its {{m|Tackle}} with {{m|Petal Dance}} and {{status|Paralysis|paralyze}} it with {{m|Stun Spore}}. However, Roselia's {{m|Magical Leaf}} was overcome by {{m|Silver Wind}} and it took damage, just as {{TRT}} interrupted the match by stealing the [[Berry|Berries]]. It then destroyed their [[Team Rocket's mechas|mecha]] with {{m|SolarBeam}} and combined the attack with {{AP|Pikachu}}'s {{m|Thunderbolt}} to send them blasting off, allowing {{TP|May|Torchic}} to retrieve the Berries. Roselia later sat and watched the fireworks that were made with the Bluk Berries.

Roselia later appeared in ''[[AG050|Pros and Con Artists]]'', where it battled [[Ash's Taillow]]. It first incapacitated Taillow with Stun Spore and won the match with SolarBeam. In the [[AG051|next episode]], Roselia was used in the [[Fallarbor Town]] Pokémon Contest, where it once again got through the Appeals Round, scoring high with a 29.6. In the Battle Round, Roselia was matched against {{ho|Grace}}'s {{p|Medicham}}. It started off with Magical Leaf, but Medicham avoided the attack by using {{m|Meditate}}. Roselia was able to easily and gracefully evade Medicham's {{m|Ice Punch}} before having its Petal Dance sent back at it by Medicham's {{m|Confusion}}. Roselia launched a SolarBeam attack, but it was blocked by a shield of ice that Medicham created with its Ice Punch, the attack reflected on the ice and struck Roselia. It was then knocked out by its opponent's {{m|Hi Jump Kick}}.

Roselia reappeared at the [[Hoenn Grand Festival]] in ''[[AG121|Hi Ho Silver Wind!]]'' when  Drew was congratulating May for getting her fifth [[Ribbon]]. Later, in the preliminary Appeals Round, Roselia scored Drew a 95, sending him through to the first stage. In the [[AG122|following episode]], Roselia was seen being groomed by its Trainer along with Masquerain. Finally, in ''[[AG123|Rhapsody in Drew]]'', Roselia was chosen to battle alongside {{DL|Drew|Flygon}} in the third round against [[May's Combusken]] and {{TP|May|Skitty}}. Roselia started the battle with Petal Dance, but Skitty's {{m|Assist}} became {{m|Fire Spin}} and incinerated the move. When Flygon stole the attention and left their opponents open to attack, Roselia launched a SolarBeam along with Flygon's Flamethrower, which was amazingly stopped by Combusken's Fire Spin. Roselia dodged Skitty's next {{m|Blizzard}} attack and jumped on Flygon. When Combusken was launched up to Roselia and its partner, it launched a Magic Leaf defense, though it was blown away by Blizzard. Confronted by Combusken's Quick Attack and Skitty's Tackle, Roselia paralyzed them both with Stun Spore, escaping the hits and allowing Flygon to knock them out. After the final match and during the after party, Roselia was seen training with Masquerain.

Roselia made its final {{series2|Advanced Generation}} appearance in ''[[AG187|The Unbeatable Lightness of Seeing]]''. It was used in a Double Contest Battle alongside Drew's Butterfree against [[May's Combusken]] and her {{TP|May|Beautifly}}. With a {{m|Psychic}} powered Fire Spin heading in their direction, Roselia blasted though it with Petal Dance. Afterwards, Beautifly used the sparks from the Fire Spin in combination with Psychic to attack once again; Roselia defended against them with Magical Leaf, though the attack was burned up. This allowed Combusken to go in for an attack but Butterfree used {{m|Gust}} to send Roselia's flaming Magical Leaf at its opponents. Roselia used Petal Dance which ended up absorbing power from Beautifly's on coming Silver Wind and dealing massive damage to it and Combusken. Combusken, however, broke through with {{m|Overheat}}, though Roselia was shielded by Buterfree's {{m|Protect}} and they combined SolarBeam and {{m|Psybeam}} to win the battle.
