After the training is over, the player is chatting with the [[Kanto]] [[Elite Four]]. The player suddenly receives a phone call, informing them of something which shocks them. They report what they learned from the phone call to the others, and Lance says they should go.
Meanwhile, the Team Rocket {{tc|executive}}s are in the city, gloating about the success of their plan. Their [[Team Rocket Grunt|grunts]] are causing chaos outside the city, so no one can get in their way. However, Ariana is still brooding over her encounter with Agatha. {{mas|Archer}} says they need to wrap things up, but Lorelei, Agatha, Lance, and Bruno appear to stop them. {{tc|Proton}} wonders why the grunts didn't stop them, and Lance says that the player is dealing with them. The Elite Four send out the Pokémon that they've been training with and prepare to put an end to Team Rocket's plan.
