Thing is, I only know that this is the case in gen 4, as I cannot test in gen 5, and I can't find any info about it online. Is anyone out there bored enough to check this? :p Frezgle (Silverlucario) (talk) 06:19, 13 November 2018 (UTC)

Record other Pokémon's cries?
I was just thinking, "What happens if the game recognizes the audio recorded for Chatter as the cry of another Pokémon (besides Chatot)? Would it: A.) Reject the audio; or: B.) Not distort the audio?"
Here is the setup for this idea (presented in 2nd Person):
# Get 2 Nintendo DS s. The 1st one will be the one you will record audio for Chatter with and the second one is the one you will record the audio with.
# If you don't already, register the Pokémon who's cry will be recorded for the audio into your Pokédex.
# Select that Pokémon's entry and go to the "Cry" menu.
# Place both DS s next to each other.
# Select Chatter as a field move.
# Play the cry of the selected Pokémon on the 2nd DS.
# Finish Recording and see how the game reacts.
Also make sure you are in a quiet area, otherwise the Audio will be distorted guaranteed. - totally signed comment from Kirbychu Showdown (talk • contribs) 19:32, 4 March 2022 (UTC) (I didn't know what else to say)
