Defensively, they have resistances to Electric, Grass, Water and Fire. However, many fully-evolved, non-legendary Dragon-type Pokémon have a double weakness to Ice moves, due to their secondary types.  Dragon is the only type resistant to all types of starter Pokémon, including Electric.

They cannot do any damage whatsoever to Fairy types with their Dragon-type moves. However, due to their wide movepool, most Dragon Pokémon can still do damage to the Fairy type. There are also some that have typings which can do serious damage to the Fairy type, such as Dialga with its secondary Steel typing.
