It first appeared with Mason when they turned up to find {{Ash}} and {{Ashfr|his friends}} being attacked by the [[Pokémon Poacher Brothers]]. Later [[Team Rocket]] appear and {{AP|Pikachu}} uses {{m|Thunderbolt}} with Croconaw's {{m|Hydro Pump}} which sends Team Rocket blasting off. But suddenly the poachers appear again and steal Pikachu and Croconaw. But in the end Pikachu and Crocanaw are free with the help of {{AP|Larvitar}} and {{p|Tyranitar}}.

|desc={{p|Tyranitar}} is the mother of {{AP|Larvitar}} and is protected by Ranger Mason from [[Pokémon Poacher|poachers]]. It first appeared in a dimension caused by a {{p|Unown}} where it was shown when Larvitar was an [[egg]] the [[Pokémon Poacher Brothers]] stole it from her and hurt her causing her to get a scar. It appears in person in the [[EP264|next]] episode where it mistakes {{Ash}} and {{Ashfr|his friends}} for poachers and attacks them, Ash and his friends try and show they are good until Larvitar finally finds out that Tryanitar is his mother and stays put. Suddenly a net is fired and Tryranitar is trapped, the poachrs then steal Tyranitar!
The poachers uses [[Team Rocket]]'s [[Team Rocket's mechas|balloon]] to dangle it from the sky and zap it with remote controls. Tyranitar is able to wiggle out and fire a {{m|Hyper Beam}} which destroys the balloon and is reunited Larvitar. Larviar uses {{m|Hidden Power}} and it uses Hyper Beam to destroy the poachers. In the end Ash decides to leave Larvitar with its mother.
Tyranitar and Larvitar also make a brief appearance in [[Spurt!]].
