Forming an Exploration Team

The player and partner head for Wigglytuff Guild and step onto a grate, that lets a Pokémon look at another Pokémon's footprint. After some trouble analyzing the player's footprint, the player and partner enter the Guild. Chatot, the Guild second-in-command, introduces them to the Guild Master, Wigglytuff. After selecting a name for the player's new team, Wigglytuff gives the team an official exploration team badge, a wonder map, a Zinc Band, a colored ribbon, and a treasure bag. Chatot shows the team their room and later they have dinner and go to bed.

The First Mission

The next morning, Loudred wakes the team up, abruptly shouting into their room. Startled, the team heads out to the main room. The guild assembles and cheer the guild's motto:

A ONE, A TWO...A ONE-TWO-THREE
ONE! DON'T SHIRK WORK!
TWO! RUN AWAY AND PAY!
THREE! SMILES GO FOR MILES!

Then the guild's members go to work. Chatot calls the team to the Job Board and tells the player and partner basic information about mystery dungeons and gives the team their first mission, retrieving a Spoink's pearl.
