The Virbank Gym was first mentioned in ''[[BW080|Clash of the Connoisseurs!]]''. After learning that the [[Opelucid Gym]] was closed, {{Ash}} was informed of the Gym in [[Virbank City]], so he decided to challenge it instead.

 

Ash arrived at the Virbank Gym in ''[[BW083|Rocking the Virbank Gym! Part 1]]'' to challenge Roxie to a Gym battle, and was surprised to hear that he was allowed to use all of his Pokémon against Roxie's three. The battle continued in ''[[BW084|Rocking the Virbank Gym! Part 2]]'', with Ash emerging victorious at the end, thus earning him his final [[Unova League]] [[Badge]], the {{badge|Toxic}}.

 

Like in the {{pkmn|games}}, the Gym is accessed from an alleyway in Virbank City and doubles as an underground music club, where Roxie performs with {{un|Nicky}} and [[Billy Jo]].

 

===Pokémon used in the Gym===

|desc={{p|Koffing}} is [[Roxie]]'s first known Pokémon. When {{Ash}}, {{an|Cilan}}, and {{an|Iris}} arrived at the Gym, it was seen defeating a Trainer's {{p|Gothitelle}} despite the type disadvantage. It was then used in a Gym battle against Ash. It defeated [[Ash's Boldore]] and {{AP|Unfezant}} rather easily, but was later defeated by {{AP|Leavanny}}.

According to Roxie, she caught Koffing during a concert that she held in [[Kanto]].

|desc={{p|Scolipede}} was the second Pokémon [[Roxie]] used against Ash in their Gym battle. It quickly defeated [[Ash's Leavanny]], but was later taken down by {{AP|Pignite}}'s powerful {{m|Fire Pledge}}.

|desc={{p|Garbodor}} was the third and last Pokémon [[Roxie]] used against Ash in their Gym battle. It defeated [[Ash's Pignite]] and {{AP|Palpitoad}}, but was later defeated by {{AP|Pikachu}} after getting {{status|paralysis|paralyzed}} by his {{a|Static}} [[Ability]].
