Flamigo is an avian Pokémon resembling a {{wp|flamingo}}. It is mostly pink, with a rounded body and wings, and a long serpentine neck that's tied into a knot at the base. It is said that Flamigo ties its neck into a knot to keep energy inside its belly from escaping. Flamigo also has tall thin white legs with webbed feet, a white face, a curved beak with a black tip, and yellow eyes with black pupils. Flamigo typically stands on one of its legs.

===Evolution===

Flamigo appears to be based on a {{wp|flamingo}}. Its knotted neck and body shape may be a reference to a {{wp|Balloon modelling|balloon animal}}, {{wp|boxing glove}}, or {{wp|Plastic flamingo|plastic flamingo lawn ornament}}.

Flamigo's classification and Fighting-type may be a reference to the elaborate, synchronized courtship dances performed by flamingos, which can encompass the entirety of a flock. They synchronise their behaviour in part by the colours of the other birds in the flock, with those of breeding age possessing brighter pink plumage.
