Sealeo (Japanese: トドグラー Todoggler) is a dual-type Pokémon introduced in Generation III.

It evolves from Spheal starting at level 32, and evolves into Walrein starting at level 44.
It evolves from Spheal starting at level 32 and evolves into Walrein starting at level 44.

Biology
Biology
Physiology
Sealeo is a bright-blue, pinniped Pokémon. Its throat and chest are beige with speckling around the edges. There are two short tusks protruding from its upper jaw, and it has dark brown, oval eyes. It has a powerful pair of front flippers, which are able to crush ice. Additionally, it has a short, flipper-like tail. On the sides of its blunt muzzle are thick, white whiskers. Sealeo's white whiskers are described as being super sensitive.
Sealeo, unlike Seel, closely resembles a sea lion rather than a Pinniped. Sealeo is blue, and has a shorter tail and thick, white whiskers in the shape of a half circle. Sealeo has beige coloration on the underside of its throat and chest, and a speckled tan patterning around the edges. Sealeo also has small fangs or tusks protruding out of its upper jaw.

Gender differences
When a Sealeo encounters new objects, they are placed on its nose and rolled around to test its smell and texture. The reason is to determine if it likes the object or not. It has also been known to roll Spheal or Poké Balls on its nose. The reason Sealeo does this to Spheal is to check its scent and ensure it is still healthy. This Pokémon lives in the List of Pokémon by habitat and on drift ice. Sealeo dives underwater to hunt for prey five times a day. It searches for the prey by its scent.
None.

Special abilities
Prior to Generation VI, Ice Ball was its signature move, but other Pokémon could still inherit it via breeding.
Sealeo, and its evolution family, Spheal and Walrein, are the only known Pokémon that can learn Ice Ball by level up.

Behavior
Evolution
Sealeo tend to use their nose to get to know others and object qualities. They aren't very aggressive, but rather protective of their friends, family and homes. Sealeo live in herds on ice floes, and uses its powerful flippers to shatter ice. It dives into the sea to hunt prey five times a day. Sealeo occasionally entertains itself by balancing and rolling a Spheal on its nose.
Sealeo evolves from Spheal and evolves into Walrein.

Habitat
Origin
Origin
Sealeo is based on a seal.
Sealeo appears to be based on an earless seal with elements of a walrus. Its habit of playing with objects with its nose may be a reference to sea lions that have been trained to play with balls using their noses.

Name origin
Name origin
Sealeo's name is a combination of sea or seal and the Latin word leo, or lion, reinforcing its similarity to sea lions. Todoggler may be a combination of 海馬 todo, meaning sea lion, and juggler.
Sealeo may be a combination of sea or seal and leo (Latin for "lion"), in reference to sea lion.

Todoggler may be a combination of 胡獱 todo (Steller sea lion) and juggler.
