Scarlet & Violet
Scarlet & Violet
Uva Academy first appeared in this arc, where Violet set out for his Treasure Hunt from there with Arven.
Uva Academy first appeared in PASV01. During the semester opening ceremony, Director Clavell allowed Nemona to demonstrate her battling skills against a new transfer student. However, the battle was interrupted when Violet burst out into the schoolyard with Miraidon. As Jacq had spotted Violet going through student files without permission, Violet declared that should the teachers beat him in a race around the schoolyard's running track, he'd accept any punishment assigned for him. While Clavell tried to protest, Dendra eagerly accepted the challenge, along with two other teachers specializing in Cyclizar riding. Reluctantly, Clavell started the race, which Violet used as a cover to have his Rotom Phone, Rotojī, look for Arven.

While Violet and Miraidon came close to winning the race, he was stopped when Arven stood in his path and demanded to know why he had Miraidon with him. This distraction allowed Dendra to win the race. Accepting his defeat, Violet declared that he was intending to find the Herba Mystica in order to become the "Prince of Speed" with Miraidon. As Arven wanted to find the Herba Mystica as well, he agreed to join Violet on his journey, after which Clavell finished his opening speech and let the rest of the students start their Treasure Hunt as well. Afterwards, he gathered the school staff in his office to tell them Violet's backstory.

One of the students departing from the academy for her own journey was Scarlet, the transfer student whom Nemona had battled and would start following. Being a professional treasure hunter, she detests Uva Academy's "make-believe" Treasure Hunt, preferring to hunt for actual treasure, such as Gimmighoul Coins and the treasures of ruin. In PASV06, it was revealed that Cassiopeia had falsified Scarlet's records to make her seem like a transfer student by her request in exchange for getting to ask her help in taking down Team Star, but despite Cassiopeia having fulfilled their end of the bargain, Scarlet still refused to help them.
