*Dark Celebi is the first {{TCG|Dark Pokémon|Pokémon with "Dark" in its name}} to be dual-typed with {{TCG|Darkness}} and its normal type. This would later return in {{TCG|EX Team Rocket Returns}}, which, in Japan, this card was a part of, but moved up to EX Hidden Legends for unknown reasons. It is also the first, and only, {{TCG|Basic Pokémon}} to be a Dark<!--Not Darkness!!!--> Pokémon.

*Strangely, the Japanese name of the card is R団のセレビィ ''Rocket's Celebi'', meaning that it is actually more in league with cards like {{TCG ID|Gym Challenge|Rocket's Mewtwo|14}} than with cards like {{TCG ID|EX Team Rocket Returns|Dark Sandslash|18}}.

*This card references the fate of the {{an|Celebi}} of [[Pokémon 4Ever]], which was captured in a [[Dark Ball]] by [[Vicious]].

*Leaf Poison's Japanese name is that of {{m|PoisonPowder}}, a [[move]] in the [[Pokémon games]]; however,  {{p|Celebi}} cannot learn it.
