It records a maximum of 10 entries sequentially, and a new entry is recorded when the game is loaded with a date different from the most recent journal entry, deleting the oldest entry if 10 already exist. It is brought up automatically upon loading a [[save]] if the current date does not match the date of the last save, or the day after, and does not create a new entry until it is closed.
