A '''Skier''' (Japanese: '''スキーヤー''' ''Skier'') is a type of [[Pokémon Trainer]] that first debuted in the [[Generation II]] games. They look like young women (and, in [[Sinnoh]], young men) dressed in winter clothing and on skis.


They appear to be the female counterparts of [[Boarder]]s.
At first, they appeared to be the female counterparts of {{tc|Boarder}}s. However, in {{3v2|Diamond|Pearl|Platinum}}, they appeared in both genders as Skiers. The male Skier looks similar to a Boarder in outfit design. Male skiers also made a return in {{2v2|Brilliant Diamond|Shining Pearl}}.


They specialize in {{t|Ice}}-[[type]] [[Pokémon]].
In Generation II, these Trainers are only seen in the [[Mahogany Gym]]; in HeartGold and SoulSilver, an additional Skier can be found in the [[Seafoam Islands]]. In Sinnoh, they are found on Routes {{rtn|216|Sinnoh}} and {{rtn|217|Sinnoh}}.
