A '''Skier''' (Japanese: '''スキーヤー''' ''Skier'') is a type of [[Pokémon Trainer]] that first debuted in the [[Generation II]] games. They look like young women (and, in {{3v2|Diamond|Pearl|Platinum}}, young men) dressed in winter clothing and on skis.

At first, they appeared to be the female counterparts of {{tc|Boarder}}s. However, in Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum, they appeared in both genders as Skiers. The male Skier also looks nearly identical to a Boarder in outfit design.

In Generation II, these Trainers are only seen in [[Pryce]]'s Gym; in HeartGold and SoulSilver an additional Skier can be found in the Seafoam Islands. In Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum, they are found on Routes {{rtn|216|Sinnoh}} and {{rtn|217|Sinnoh}}.

They specialize in {{type|Ice}} {{OBP|Pokémon|species}}, although in Diamond and Pearl they also use Pokémon of other types in addition to Ice-type Pokémon.
