::So despite it being a normal type move, it isn't treated like one. Well in any case I just got done testing this with my Sylveon who incidentally has a Steel Type Hidden Power. I battled a Flebébé and the move was super effective. Yamitora1 (talk) 16:49, 23 February 2014 (UTC)

:::Everything in this article is super clear on the fact that Hidden Power is never treated as a Normal-type attack except to choose which little type icon to display to the player. It shouldn't be necessary to specify Hidden Power as an exception on the Pixilate page as you did, because it's not an exception; it's just another of the many attacks that aren't Normal and thus don't get affected by any of the three Abilities that change Normal-type moves to other types. ::::Dude, ok you already made your point once on the HP article. There was no reason to come in here and keep driving at it. You should have just did the undo and let it go, its rude to keep bringing it up especially on other articles/talk pages. :::::My entire point didn't fit in the edit summary box, so I came here to give it in full (and so outside observers could see it and rebut me, if they don't have Pixilate on their watchlist). That's all. Sorry if you were offended. Try to Wikipedia:Assume good faith. :Its ok, but really unless someone goes to this page or knows HP well enough, they would have no idea about it not being affected by Pixilate. The article just states that all normal type moves become fairy, and doesn't go beyond that like other articles do on exceptions. == Transform ==
If ditto transforms into an ice HP ampharos (for example), will hidden power still be ice? or will HP's type be based on ditto's IV's? Hypershock
What is Hidden Power
What does it do in anime and game?
examples please--SilverioBOMB (talk) 01:11, 9 March 2016 (UTC)
:It's all right on the page... Just read it. Tiddlywinks (talk) 01:17, 9 March 2016 (UTC)
Unown in Gen VI
Trivia says that Unowns have 3 perfect IVs since they are in the Undiscovered Egg Group in Generation VI. I'm not sure about XY (can someone check?), but this is untrue in ORAS. This information should either be edited or deleted. KingisNitro (talk) 15:49, 23 August 2016 (UTC)
:It was true for everything in the Undiscovered Egg Group in XY, but was changed in ORAS to apply only to Legendaries and Mythicals. I've rewritten the trivium from scratch to take this into account. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 16:46, 23 August 2016 (UTC)
::I wasn't sure and don't have XY to check, so I didn't want to edit it myself. Thanks for the edit KingisNitro (talk) 19:40, 23 August 2016 (UTC)
actual typing
I came here to read what type it would be if I were to teach it to my pokemon, should I add it? my research will be done on Omega Ruby also I'm not very good at editing pages so can anyone please either explain what I should do in order to edit it and make it look pretty or do that for me, something like how the "what pokemon can learn it" section is Pokegail (talk) 16:08, 6 September 2016 (UTC)

One question: If Hidden Power is Unown's Signature Move, them what is the description for the move in the set series? Kangaflora (talk) 02:06, 22 November 2021 (UTC)
I believe it returned to one of its previous descriptions. It woudln't make sense to have a generic "unusable" description. Mario60866 (talk) 01:13, 27 February 2022 (UTC)
