Goh's Farfetch'd (Japanese: ゴウカカモネギ Go's Kamonegi) is the thirty-sixth Pokémon that Goh caught.

History

Goh and Farfetch'd

Goh caught Farfetch'd when he was participating in a Pokémon Orienteering competition. During the first two attempts to catch it, Farfetch'd deflected the thrown Poké Balls with its leek. Then, Goh faked it out during the third attempt and caught it while its guard was down.

In JN023, Farfetch'd was one of the Pokémon that suffered from a lack of food at the Cerise Laboratory. Although it decided not to eat its leek, the other Pokémon of Goh were seen wanting to eat, which made it run away from the place in a hurry. In the end, Farfetch'd joined the Institute's other Pokémon to help Goh's three Cascoon of evolve safely.

In JN027, Goh started training Farfetch'd and took it on a trip to the Galar region to watch a World Coronation Series battle. When Ash and Goh encountered a Galarian Farfetch'd, he used Farfetch'd against its regional variant in an attempt to capture it. Despite its best efforts, Farfetch'd was defeated.

In JN023, it is revealed that Farfetch'd is part of the group of Goh's Pokémon who like to live next to Golurk. When the situation gets out of hand, it and the other Pokémon in its group come together to try to calm him down. Despite its reluctance to be captured on its debut, Farfetch'd is very close to Goh, especially when it travels with its trainer to the Galar region.

As is common in its species, Farfetch'd is quite protective of its leeks.
