In ''[[EP084|The Lost Lapras]]'', {{Ash}} and {{ashfr}} saved a baby Lapras from [[Three punks|a trio of thugs]], and then again from {{TRT}}. Ash {{pkmn2|caught}} this Lapras and mostly used it as transportation between the islands of the [[Orange Archipelago]]. Lapras also took part in Ash's [[Gym]] {{pkmn|battle}} with [[Danny]] from [[Navel Island]] to get his second [[Orange League]] [[Gym]] [[Badge]], the {{badge|Sea Ruby}}, in ''[[EP093|Navel Maneuvers]]''. It was returned to its family in ''[[EP113|Viva Las Lapras]]''. Ash's Lapras became the leader of the herd in their appearance in ''[[EP257|Lapras of Luxury]]''.

Lapras debuted in ''[[Holiday Hi-Jynx]]''. It helped Ash and his friends reunite a {{p|Jynx}} with [[Santa Claus]]. This Lapras was able to [[talking Pokémon|talk]] via telepathy.

Two Lapras saved {{AP|Pikachu}} and his friends in ''[[PK09|Snorlax Snowman]]'' after their ice boat fell apart.

Three Lapras in ''[[HS15|Putting the Air Back in Aerodactyl!]]'' appear whenever {{OBP|Crystal|HS15}} whistles.

[[Verity]]'s Lapras ferried her, {{OBP|Ash Ketchum|M20|Ash}}, and [[Sorrel]] across a lake in ''[[M20|I Choose You!]]'' after they escaped a group of angry {{p|Primeape}}.

Misty fantasized about Lapras in ''[[EP050|Who Gets to Keep Togepi?]]'', hoping that the {{pkmn|Egg}} they had would hatch into one.

A Lapras was at the [[Pokémon Theme Park]] in ''[[PK01|Pikachu's Vacation]]''.

A Lapras swam in the ocean in the [[Where Are You Going, Eevee?]] segment at the end of ''[[SM093|Lillier and the Staff!]]''. It reappeared in a flashback in ''[[SM099|We Know Where You're Going, Eevee!]]''.

A [[Silph Co.]] {{tc|Scientist}} gave {{OBP|Red|Origins}} a Lapras in ''[[PO03|File 3: Giovanni]]'' as a thanks after saving him from [[Team Rocket]]. Since then, Red often used it to {{m|Surf|travel}} on water.

[[Lorelei]] used a Lapras against {{ga|Blue}}'s {{p|Alakazam}} in ''[[PG03|The Challenger]]'', but it lost after being thrown to the floor with {{m|Psychic}}.
