In the table of Names section, it says that Ash's name in Mandarin Chinese "can mean 'young wisdom' or 'little knowledge'". I'm from mainland China and I can tell that this is not correct.
In China, the character "小" before another character as a nickname is used when referring to a person younger than the speaker, especially a child or teenager. The character right after it is often a character from his/her given name. For instance, a boy called "王明" can be referred as "小明", or a girl called "李芬芳" can be called "小芳" as a nickname. You may read [[wikipedia:Chinese name|this]] for more information about Chinese names.
Thus, "小智" in this case follows the same rule, that it can be considered only as "little Zhì (this must be transliterated as it derives from [[Satoshi Tajiri]])" but not "young wisdom" or "little knowledge". I think people greatly overestimate what Ash can do. The only time he has actually used Aura was in the movie and that looked to me like he could do so only because he wore the guardian's gloves at the time. In the other very handful anime instances, I thought the Pokemon of which auras he felt were making him feel it, he didn't sense it by himself, it was their doing. Not sure if the original Japanese dub says something different, but Ash is hardly an aura user in my opinion. I disagree. There's a difference between having mastered Aura Abilities and being a true Aura User. Ash is a true Aura User. The anime special even capitalized on this with the canon connection, therefore establishing his Aura Abilities. Ash has no form of training at all with Aura, but the movie and special did an amazing job at proving Ash has Aura Powers and the potential to be a skilled Aura Wielder if he trained. Does Noibat's egg count as being under Ash's ownership? Yeah, he helped it to hatch but it wasn't registered to him like his past eggs were... no-one gifted it to him and it wasn't marked by a Poké Ball prior to hatching. For instance, the amount of Pokemon he officially owns is 68 and previous evolutions don't count. For example, Ash's Froakie and Frogadier are counted as one, because they're technically the same Pokemon, as Froakie evolved into a Frogadier. The second list is all of the different kinds of Pokemon he owns. So for this list, the previous evolutions are included. So these Pokemon include, Pikachu, Froakie, Frogadier, Noibat, Tauros, Muk, Krabby, Kingler, Treecko, etc. The other information was just specific information on each of the captures that he has. Like how many Pokemon don't have any pre-evolutions or evolutions, how many he has captured that have already evolved and how many are apart of a two-stage evolutionary line. In fact, wasn't Ash's promise only in the dub, and if not, it still doesn't mean that's going to be the case here. Ash said goodbye to it in XY070 and yet it returned, so if you think it's speculation that Ash is going to go back to it, then it's speculation that he won't go back to it. And as I've said, Ash promised he would see it again, so are we just going to call him a liar? Then how can we trust anything else he says? And regardless, it IS under the care of someone else. Whether or not Ash actually sees it again, that should be it's official location title, because saying it is under the care of someone else isn't saying that Ash will definitely use Goodra again or even see it, but that it is under the care of someone else. When it comes to who else thinks this, well Blazingfist originally made it like this, so he at least thought so once, unless he still agrees with that choice and with their being other members on the forums who agree that it can still visit Ash, then I'm sure they would agree that this isn't a permanent release and even without them, I'm sure there's others and I would bet money on it. Anyway, as I've said, this isn't about whether or not Ash will see Goodra again, it's about what Goodra's location should be classified as and since it technically is with someone else like Squirtle and Primeape, the "Under the care of someone else" would fit better, because that title isn't implying that it's a permanent release or that it's not a permanent release. And I don't see how my edit was so wrong just because it was speculation, when assuming that it will never be seen again is also speculation. ::I originally put it under "With someone else" right after the episode aired because I didn't see how it was any different than Squirtle or Primeape. Unlike Pidgeot who he also promised to see again, it has returned at least once, so that's saying something. Primeape has never even returned once. And Ash still owned Goodra's Poké Ball, unless he recaught it off-screen between XY126 or XY127. That being said, Goodra did return to its home and it's unlikely that it's ever going to return. I´m not assuming that any released pokémon will never be seen again. Lapras was seen, but is still released, not under anyone else´s care, it´s not like Keanan do commands to Goodra. You say that this isn´t about released meaning Ash will not visit Goodra but when you bring the topic again it looks like it. It is good to know that someone share your point of view but we should yet discuss before make changes like this, i don´t kwon if you´re new here but even if i´m wrong i think everyone would like to discuss first before making important changes like this, Bulbapedia is a great page, it´s one of the firsts to appear when you search pokemon on google if not the first. Everyone consult it. Even myself use it for the games, and from people who like the anime i and more people would like information important like this discussed with care. Did Ash need to recapture Goodra to put it in Kalos League after he left Goodra in the wetlands the first time? If he didn't need to recapture it then he never released Goodra in the first place, he kept the pokeball just like he kept Charizard's pokeball after he left it at Charcific Valley. I also wondering why Greninja is also on the released list, as far as I know he is currently undergoing task under Zygarde command, he even still in Ash-Greninja state when he walk away. I also remember how Paul released pokemon in DP and releasing a pokemon is indicated by blue coloring, this indication didn't present on Goodra and Greninja, the other pokemon (Lapras, Butterfree, or Pidgeot) happen before DP so they might not have the blue coloring indicator, but Goodra and Greninja are after DP. Maybe they should have not been in the "Released Pokemon" category but "Left in the Wild" category as Ash still kept their pokeball and they are still registered in his pokedex.
