In ''[[SM022|A Shivering Shovel Search!]]'', [[Ash's Rockruff]] knocked the shovel off a wild {{p|Palossand}}'s head into the ocean with {{m|Rock Throw}}. Palossand subsequently swallowed Ash and {{AP|Litten}} in its rage, and Popplio and Pikachu searched the ocean for the shovel, with Pikachu using one of Popplio's balloons to breathe inside.
