I would also like to contribute some research Ive done concerning the Virtual Console and the differences in glitch Pokemon appearances there. For example, I encountered [[$ (glitch Pokémon)]] many times without any glitch trainer battle and I'm pretty sure the attempted special stat was less than 249. Using the [[Mew glitch]] Ive started keeping track of all Pokémon i encounter with the glitch. By leaving a good number of Pokémon trainers unbattled, I can activate the glitch almost anywhere. Battling a trainer in a different route frees the start menu, allowing me to choose surf, fly, and cut to access other areas, letting me find high level Pokémon like those in Cerulean Cave. Catching the Pokémon lets me know its special stat and I then return to the route where the glitch was started, and record the Pokémon or Glitch that I find. I have found many MissingNo. with different cries. I recored all results on this spreadsheet: [https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1wXve8IculvHJLVcvYwS1pgyxno0Rf1PK3b41dlKHylY/edit?usp=sharing] I will update with notable changes. My personal goal is to find a glitch such as [[ゥL ゥM 4]] that can evolve into a stable Pokémon, possibly transferable to Sun and Moon. I now have conformation, glitches such as [[ゥL ゥM 4]] and [[h POKé]] exist in the Virtual Console version. I have evolved one into a seemingly stable Pokemon with irregular moves.
