why does it say blaziken is female? Happizelpom 14:30, 6 August 2008 (UTC)Happizelpom
Look, until someone states what gender it is in the Anime, and i mean, actually calls it a "He" or "She", then it's uncomformed, and saying "It's female" if fannon/speculation. Leave it's gender until it's stated in the Anime. <span style="color:#2E0854">~~<b>Takoto タコト</b></span>|<span style="color:#F4C2C2"> サソデイ = 愛</span> 20:00, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
:I very much agree, something made by fans doesn't confirm anything. TheBlazikenMaster 20:29, 4 September 2008 (UTC)

not actually, but Brock did mention it. It's not random. But I guess I didn't confirm it either. Sorry. JirachiWishmaker0802 11:47, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
Currently Unknown?
Really people? We can now just assume Blaziken is "missing in action"? I thought being an encyclopedia put this place above vague guesses like that. At most we can claim Blaziken is still with May, as that is as far as evidence suggests its location to be: Blaziken is last seen in May's team in her Sinnoh encounter. Let's get this right folks.--QX Deoxys 06:52, 7 November 2010 (UTC)
:Blaziken's last appearance was in DP076. It did not make any appearances during the Wallace Cup and her other six Pokémon did. Trainers can only have 6 Pokémon with them at a time. We are going by who was last seen. There is zero evidence that she put Blaziken back on her team. Assuming Blaziken is back on May's team is more speculative then just saying its whereabouts are unknown. It's not a guess at all. We are neither confirming nor are we denying that it is in May's party. It says "Status unknown", not "Missing from action". Read it more carefully. --<span style="color:#33CC66;">ケンジ</span><span style="color:#6600CC;">の</span><span style="color:#FF00CC;">ガール</span> 11:55, 25 November 2010 (UTC)
SERIOUSLY?!  Are we to assume that Ash is the only one with a Pokémon Professor as a neighbor, and the only one who can send his Pokémon back and forth?!  What if, IF!  May sent Blaziken back to Professor Birch or Norman?!
:"What if, IF!  May sent Blaziken back to Professor Birch or Norman?!"
:You just proved my case right there. Which is why it says "Status unknown". We aren't saying "Maybe at Birch's or Norman's" if we don't know where the heck it is.
:And to my knowledge, May has never sent a Pokémon to Professor Birch. Only to Professor Oak or her mother. It's either with her now, with Oak, or with her mother. But we just don't know. --<span style="color:#33CC66;">ケンジ</span><span style="color:#6600CC;">の</span><span style="color:#FF00CC;">ガール</span> 08:45, 2 January 2011 (UTC)

Why can't blaziken have an in game section if May's game counterpart used it? Reinhartmax (talk) 15:07, 23 March 2016 (UTC)
:Because game May's starter choice depends on the player's choice, and is just a generic Torchic. It isn't like Serena's Fennekin where a special version of the Pokémon was created and distributed as an event. ChE clarinetist (talk) 15:11, 23 March 2016 (UTC)
::But I mention on the page that it depends on the choice, and even if it depends on the choice it still appears with May Reinhartmax (talk) 15:17, 23 March 2016 (UTC)
:::It it depends on a choice, then it is not a representation of May's Blaziken in the game. It is just an artifact of a choice the player made, and nothing else. ChE clarinetist (talk) 15:25, 23 March 2016 (UTC)
::::The games are not inspired by the anime, it's the other way around. May's Blaziken in the games is not in any way supposed to reflect May's Blaziken from the anime. Only special event distributions like Serena's Fennekin are. Therefore, this page does not deserve an "In the games" section. Tiddlywinks (talk) 15:43, 23 March 2016 (UTC)
:::::If it is the rival's Pokemon though then it is the representation of that Pokemon. The page is meant to show and represent every aspect of May's Blaziken, which has shown up in the games as the rivals starter.Reinhartmax (talk) 15:47, 23 March 2016 (UTC)
::::::You have it backwards. May (or her Blaziken) in the games does NOT represent May (or her Blaziken) in the anime. The anime branches from the games. That's why there's an "In the anime" section on the game pages; that also means there's no need for an "In the games" section on the anime page, that'd just be repetitive (not to mention, again, backwards). Tiddlywinks (talk) 15:57, 23 March 2016 (UTC)
:::::::If the player (as Brendan) chooses Torchic or Mudkip, or (as May) chooses Treeko or Mudkip, then the game version of May NEVER has a Torchic show up, and therefore there is no representation. That is again a generic Torchic, it has absolutely nothing in relation to anime May's Blaziken, and therefore it should not have a section added about "in the games" to May's Blaziken's article.
