: There's a few reasons that I believe that Wynaut was using Splash and not Safeguard. First, Wynaut was jumping up and down which is how Splash works in the anime (as it did in EP158). Second, Dawn's Togekiss has used Safeguard several times recently and it's always been shown to produce a green forcefield whereas Wynaut's feet were simply glowing when it deflects the Poison Sting. Third, if Wynaut was using Safeguard then it wouldn't have got poisoned. Because of these I am certain Splash was being used.
