Information
Next Destinies introduces Pokémon-EX, a throwback to a similar mechanic introduced during the EX Series of the Pokémon Trading Card Game: Pokémon-ex. The set will contain six Pokémon-EX.
The Japanese counterparts, Psycho Drive and Hail Blizzard, contain Pokémon from all five generations, and feature both Mewtwo and Kyurem respectively. Each of the two subsets contain 48 Pokémon cards, 4 Trainer cards/Special Energy cards, and five Secret cards. Each set also contains three Pokémon-EX. A few of the cards have been pulled from the expansions, and released in the English Emerging Powers and Noble Victories expansions.
The expansion focuses on Castelia City and the surrounding area. As such, much of the artwork features places around the city, such as Vanillite depicted at the Casteliacone ice cream stand, and Meowth on the docks.
