Though Lilligant's flower is similar in appearance to the {{wp|rafflesia}}, its relaxing smell makes it more likely to be based on either an {{wp|Orange (fruit)|orange}}, {{wp|pomelo|pomelo}}, {{wp|mandarin orange|mandarin orange}}, or {{wp|Dianthus|carnation's flowers}}, all of which are used in {{wp|essential oil}}s for {{wp|aromatherapy}}. Because of this, the leaves of its body may also have been based on other essential oil ingredients, such as {{wp|spearmint}} and/or {{wp|peppermint}}. Its crown and regal attire may be a reference to {{wp|1750–1795 in fashion#Women's fashion|high class or royal women's fashion in the late 1700's}}. It could also be based on a dancer, since it learns only moves with the word Dance in them via level up, excluding moves it knows from the start.
