Mr. Cheeves

Mr. Cheeves is a character of the day who appeared in Two Degress of Separation!, as James's butler. He was nameless in the Japanese version. His Japanese voice actor is 三宅健太 Kenta Miyake and his English voice actor is Clyde Hunter.

He is part of the staff at James' second summer home in Sinnoh. Upon arriving after a battle with Pikachu, Dawn and Piplup and finding his Carnivine, James summons him with a food order for himself, Jessie and Meowth.

Once on the scene, however, Mr. Cheeves reveals innocuously that he's contacted James's parents about his arrival; they and Jessiebelle would be arriving the next day, having expressed their eagerness to reunite with him. Consequently, it ruins Team Rocket's plans of making the summer home their base of operations in Sinnoh.

Trivia

  • As is the case with James's other butlers, Hopkins and Sebastian, Mr. Cheeves was unnamed in the Japanese version but was given a name in the dub.
