In this game, Ash accidentally wound up on [[Pasio]] while training for the [[Masters Eight Tournament]]. He first appeared as an NPC during the [[special event]] {{DL|Special event|The Classic Thunderbolt}}. Ash was also shown to pair alongside the other members of his ''Pokémon Journeys'' team, which could be battled during the {{DL|Special event|Challenge from Ash}} event.
