:You're technically correct, but it is also Japanese. {{wp|Kanji}}, while used in Japanese, are just Chinese characters. {{wp|Kana}} is used in Japanese but not Chinese though. == Spectacular Talent names ==

I think the Spectacular Talent names vary depending on what contest the Pokémon is participating in. For example, I used a Ralts in the Cuteness Contest and her Spectacular Talent was called Lullaby. But when I used a Metang in the Toughness Contest and it did the same Spectacular Talent, it was called Anthem. The difference between Lullaby and Anthem was that Lullaby had pink hearts as added special effects to represent Cuteness while Anthem had yellow sparks instead to represent Toughness. Should the Spectacular Talent column be split up into five columns to say the name of the move depending on the type of contest it is, like so?

::It occurred to me that the text rip might have these names in some regular order, so I looked them up and compared the order to the table that was just made to fill in the whole thing. But it seems some mistakes were made in the table. Particularly, ORAS's text rip would suggest that Ballistic Bullet and Audaces Fortuna Iuvat are the same category, but they were placed in different ones. For now, I'm going with my intuition that "Amor" is more Cute and "Audaces" sounds more Tough (and similar for other types). Besides that, there's also the Fairy talents that were apparently a bit mixed up. But someone should definitely double-check those things (that the Tough/Cute talents are right, and that the Fairy talents are). == insufficient information on basically every single appeal move ==

across the entire wiki, the ''only'' information given about various contest moves is their in-game description, and what combos they're a part of, if any. this is incredibly insufficient information. several moves, such as aerial ace, "work great if performed first". what this actually means is a mystery. does it mean that it earns more if performed on the first turn, or if the pokemon goes first in the appeal round? how much more does it earn? none of this information is available on the move's page, and the only hints towards it are on this page. even this page, though, doesn't explain enough. "Certain moves provide a random number of hearts. Examples include Fury Swipes and Sleep Talk." is one example. why is this not listed on the move's page? what are the possible numbers of hearts earned by these moves? even then, this page only lists two examples of these moves. is this supposed to be an encyclopedia or a pamphlet?
ideally, every move that has contest effects should list the specific effects of those moves when used in contests, there should be a page dedicated to listing moves by contest effect, and learnset pages for gens 3, 4, and 6 should include the contest effects of every move. if this isn't possible with current research about contests, i'll dig through the emerald decomp myself. {{unsigned|Lilycove}}
