== Pikachu as a Pichu? ==
During this episode, Ash doesn't ask if Marilyn if she thinks Pikachu is cute.  This could mean that Pikachu had already evolved from a Pichu before Ash got it.  Just food for thought.

:Pikachu is a Pikachu. Pokémon from Gen I don't get their pre evolutions added on, and that goes for all the other Pokémon.
