Help?

Hi Steph. I know that you edit the Biology part of the Pokémon articles, and I recently edited Regigigas's, but it seems like I wrote it wrong. I'm not too big on grammar, so do you think you could take a look and fix what needs to be fixed? Please and thank you. Littlmiget123 16:35, 8 March 2010 (UTC)

I will check. If you have any other problems with the Biology sections on the species pages, make sure to tell me. Steph 16:43, 8 March 2010 (UTC)
Thank you. I also edited Starmie's Behavior (I'm not sure if it goes in the right place), and Regice's Physiology, but I'm not sure if that's the right category to put them in. Thanks again. Littlmiget123 16:51, 8 March 2010 (UTC)

Food

Sorry for loafting on the food stuff, but I finally added the information from the links you gave me. If you could look over it for me that would be nice ^^ thanks! --ZestyCactus 02:40, 19 April 2010 (UTC)

Physiology

Sorry for the late reply, I was a bit busy with other stuff. You have permission to edit any Pokémon pages in my sandbox. The ones in there are now being mainspaced, but in future you don't need to ask. That "everyone else please ask permission" bit I had on my sandbox was just there to hopefully stop people adding random speculation. Werdnae (talk) 05:33, 14 July 2010 (UTC)

Physiology

Mind doing a physiology about Choroneko?--Pokélova! 16:48, 11 September 2010 (UTC)

Physiology sections

It is not decided that they should be removed, and the Editorial Board has expressed that they will consider their removal as vandalism. MaverickNate 05:50, 5 May 2011 (UTC)

I suppose Politoed666 was incorrect when (s)he expressed that they should be removed. Steph 13:54, 5 May 2011 (UTC)

"I do not think the admins like it when the unused language panels are removed..."

We actually like it very much, we don't want to waste space. If you don't have it, don't add it. Masatoshitalk 01:10, 17 May 2011 (UTC)

Glitch Pokémon articles

Just ignore any articles that say that they can only be obtained by a Gameshark. Snorlaxmonster restored them because they are now available through the Johto guard glitch. They all said this because they were very old articles made back when unobtainables were allowed, and because there are so many I couldn't fix them all fast enough. Ive been working on these articles for this whole month now and hope to be done soon. Thanks --×Rsrdaman× 04:10, 28 May 2011 (UTC)

Great

Hey there. I've seen you've been doing an excellent work correcting grammar mistakes and capitalizing different things so I thought I might give you a little guide to help out. Here it is. Keep up the good work !----DJWolfy 17:25, 20 May 2012 (UTC)

Nice to see you acknowledge me, rival-of-the-month. Thank you. (You know that showing me this will only give me a greater chance of defeating you, right?) Steph 17:28, 20 May 2012 (UTC)
Challenge accepted ! Nah, don't sweat it, I'll be glad to pass my reign to whoever does a better job than me for the sake of Bulbapedia.----DJWolfy 17:30, 20 May 2012 (UTC)
Oh btw, carefull not to edit pages like this because that's an original text and therefore should not be altered.----DJWolfy 18:24, 20 May 2012 (UTC)
I considered that and have eliminated the Battrio keyword from subsequent searches. It is unfortunate that many of the 'berry' results are like that; I feel the Battrio puck pages are depriving me of edits. By the way, you misspelled 'careful.'Steph 18:27, 20 May 2012 (UTC)

I know, but it would have been useless to re-edit the page just to correct it. Also Gym battles and matches aren't capitalized. ----DJWolfy 18:33, 20 May 2012 (UTC)

Hey Steph, do you mind letting the Pokédex holders for me ? I've talked with Zesty about some edits that need to be done and you're giving me a conflict edit. Thanks ! ----DJWolfy 17:25, 22 May 2012 (UTC)
By 'letting,' I think you mean 'saving.' I shall do that. Steph 17:26, 22 May 2012 (UTC)
Yeah, btw how do you search by keyword I mean by eliminating certain keywords from searches ? "I considered that and have eliminated the Battrio keyword from subsequent searches" ----DJWolfy 17:29, 22 May 2012 (UTC)
You really don't know? Well, I guess it would not be fair for my rival to have that handicap. When I edit, I first enter a nonsense word into the search bar. In the search bar of the resulting page, I type in my keyword---for example, 'trainer' or 'gym'---and then add the '-' search command after it. After that command, I add whatever I want to exclude, be it 'Battrio' or 'TCG.' Steph 21:15, 22 May 2012 (UTC)

And I thought I was the only one who added gibbersih only to access the "other" search function. Could you show me an exact example maybe ? ----DJWolfy 12:28, 23 May 2012 (UTC)

(You misspelled 'gibberish.')"trainer" -TCG -trainerclass, "berry" -Battrio. (placing 'trainer' in double quotes means I will not receive 'train/trains/trained' false positives.)Steph 13:00, 23 May 2012 (UTC)
Thanks, don't worry about a handicap, I'm 2500 edits ahead of you :p. Maybe next month.----DJWolfy 13:08, 23 May 2012 (UTC)
Hey Steph, careful when doing such edits, that edit with the "badge" shouldn't be capitalized because it ruins the template. Have a look.----DJWolfy 13:00, 25 May 2012 (UTC)
Oops, sorry. I am using [name of 'secret weapon' removed], (I need some sort of edge to defeat you, considering your head start) and it is not as skilled as a human at detecting context. I will try to modify its settings to prevent this from occurring again.Steph 13:04, 25 May 2012 (UTC)

Geez man, I'm a competitive person too, but you're taking this way too serious. You can tell me what you're using, 4 helping hands are better than one afterall. Don't be greedy. ----DJWolfy 13:08, 25 May 2012 (UTC)

1. Technically I am female, so it might not be correct to address me as 'man.' 2. You mean 'you're taking this way too seriously.' 3. 'Afterall' should be 'after all.' I am not being 'greedy.' I merely intend to reach first place, for (due to my disproportionate editing effort this month) I would be upset if I earned anything less. I'll tell you about my 'secret weapon' once I match you in edits. Otherwise, (to use a Japanese proverb) I would be giving a kanabō to an oni.Steph 13:16, 25 May 2012 (UTC)
A what ?? Oh I am sorry. Steph comes from Stephanie... hmm. At least I like the fact you're good at grammar.----DJWolfy 13:21, 25 May 2012 (UTC)
This one proves once again that Usertags are way better than a full-page description.----DJWolfy 13:27, 25 May 2012 (UTC)
Lady, you have to teach me the secrets of your eagle eye technique. How can you spot even the slightest grammar mistake ? ----DJWolfy 18:21, 28 May 2012 (UTC)
Try not to call me 'lady.' I saw it was a recent edit you made, and sometimes users miss errors when going over a page. I rode in your edit-wake and found that, indeed, you had missed a spot. I have been here a long time. I have experience spotting tiny mistakes. Steph 18:34, 28 May 2012 (UTC)
Ok, Stephanie is better ? ----DJWolfy 18:42, 28 May 2012 (UTC)
Just call me Steph. It's my username, after all. Shouldn't we both be working rather than chatting here now? Steph 18:44, 28 May 2012 (UTC)

Geez, take a break :p. It's downright impossible to take my place this month. All work and no play makes Steph a dull girl.----DJWolfy 18:51, 28 May 2012 (UTC)

Uhm, are you sure about those needed to be capitalized ?----DJWolfy 17:26, 30 May 2012 (UTC)
Allow me to barge in this casual conversation and say this, uh, it's good that you want to talk to Steph, Wolfy, but keep the talk page as wiki-related as possible. Casual talk should be better left in the forums. And Steph, it's not against the rules that you want to keep your tricks to yourself, it's understandable. However, it being kept by yourself only to get the TCM is not really an "altruistic" reason (for the wiki overall), we work on quality and not quantity around here, it feels nice to be TCM, but remember we are not here for getting first in there. Masatoshitalk 17:56, 30 May 2012 (UTC)
Oh hey Masatoshi ! But seriously, I keep the discussion as wiki-related as possible, as you can see I was talking mostly about editing and capitalization (well with 2-3 exceptions). ----DJWolfy 19:12, 30 May 2012 (UTC)
But getting back to my ideea, "Uhm, are you sure about those needed to be capitalized ?"----DJWolfy 19:18, 30 May 2012 (UTC)

Oh well, the month is over, now please tell me about you secret :p.----DJWolfy 13:48, 2 June 2012 (UTC)

No. Remember, you won first place---I didn't match you in edits. I told you I would tell you of my 'secret weapon' once I matched you in edits.Steph 15:51, 2 June 2012 (UTC)

Be serious Steph, it's a wiki not a freakin' Pokémon Contest. Plus what's your overall edit count ?----DJWolfy 16:12, 2 June 2012 (UTC)

I do not know how to determine my overall edit count. Steph 16:15, 2 June 2012 (UTC)
Just look into the "my preferences" panel. It's at the top next to "my talk".----DJWolfy 16:53, 2 June 2012 (UTC)
My overall edit count is 9,430. Not that it matters---I intend to beat your edit count for this month. (yes, call it backtracking if you will, but it's what I meant.)Steph 00:30, 3 June 2012 (UTC)

If you guys want to talk about your edit numbers, fine, but go to the forums. BP talk pages are for constructive discussion.

By the way, your edit numbers may be high, but its about quality, not quantity. I'd rather see 1000 quality edits than 3000 tiny ones. -- MAGNEDETH 00:56, 3 June 2012 (UTC)

Actually, I asked her about that "secret" on how to search for better stuff and make corrections, but she won't tell me. And damn I like it Deth how you can write on other discussions but rarely reply to my messages on your talk page.----DJWolfy 10:42, 3 June 2012 (UTC)
But anyway Steph, your edit count is closer to mine so you can help a fellow out here on how to make constructive edits. Whada ya say ?----DJWolfy 17:21, 3 June 2012 (UTC)
What "clearly" are you talking about ?----DJWolfy 23:30, 4 June 2012 (UTC)
Never mind, got it.----DJWolfy 23:30, 4 June 2012 (UTC)

Preview button

Seems awfully ridiculous of me to have to give you a warning to use the preview button, but you edited the anime characters page 8 times in a row. While I am aware that a majority of them were some lengths of time apart from each other, four of them in particular were within an hour and half of each other. Moreover, all 8 of these edits should have been done in one edit. They are all the same type of edit, and very minor at that. You and Wolfy having a race for most edits is getting immensely out of hand. The site is about quality, not spamming edits all over the place to get your name on a list. -- MAGNEDETH 00:03, 6 June 2012 (UTC)

Thank you for your understanding on this---I didn't mean to spam that particular page. (now, 'spamming edits all over the place'...that's different) I'm not sure if I will be able to remember to not edit that page for a while, (I fall into 'edit trances'...) so could you lock that page from editing for the month? Steph 01:15, 6 June 2012 (UTC)
I'm not locking the page from everyone just because you don't think you can hold back. Self control, find some. -- MAGNEDETH 01:31, 6 June 2012 (UTC)

Template

Do you mind leting me do my job to fix templates ? It's pretty hard to do it when I keep getting conflict edits. Please kindly return to your grammatical fixings. I can handle them. Thank you.----DJWolfy 22:08, 17 June 2012 (UTC)

Hmmph. I know you're already vastly ahead of me in edits this month. I'd rather not let you win again, so I'm lifting your tricks soon as I can decipher and copy them. But, to be fair (since I'm competitive, but not a bully) I'll work on the Hoenn Pokémon template updates for now, and leave the Kanto-Johto Pokémon to you. Is that fair? Steph (talk) 22:11, 17 June 2012 (UTC)
WHY do you see BP as a race ? It's not a race and you don't win a grand prize of millions of dollars. It's a community site where one spends a part of his time editing valuable information for the better good of Pokémon fans all around the world. I don't understand this stubbon competitive character of yours... If you want so much my place as the TCM just take it. I'll leave BP to you and I'll be gone. I can't edit when someone keeps getting into my stuff. I admit I've interfered once in yours but that was as a payback towards your for interfering in my Browser modification numbers. Is there a possible way to get over this non-sense competition ? ----DJWolfy 22:18, 17 June 2012 (UTC)
I want to be the very best. That's my goal. I have always been competitive; I like showing my superiority. But, even with this tendency, I can be amicable. I want you to know that I view you as my rival, not my enemy. When you win, I do not hate you. I am only frustrated at myself for my poor (in my eyes) work ethic. These past months, I have been working harder on Bulbapedia than all other months, and even then, I find I fail in my goal. I will keep on pushing the edit-envelope until I win that coveted first place, but I don't want you to slow down just to ease my path to satisfaction---it wouldn't have the same hard-won joy then. I do not intend to 'get into' your stuff. (As an example of my intention to prevent edit conflicts, when you were editing browser numbers I paged ahead and edited the number 200-or-so while you were editing the number 100-or-so. In this way we could rush without colliding into each other. My offer for me to edit Hoenn templates while you edited Kanto-Johto templates was based on this experience) I merely copy you because you're so far ahead of me, and nothing else is working. Your techniques can earn hundreds of edits an hour. My mistake-hunting finds a maximum of thirty an hour. Steph (talk) 22:32, 17 June 2012 (UTC)

I do not know in what manner to express my feelings towards the above comment. Look, I didn't say you hate me, that would be plain stupid, I didn't give you a reason to do so. My techniques are part of my vast skills of organization. As in real life I'm a very organized and tedious person. As in real life I have a saying "If you want something to be done right then DIY". And that's exactly what I am planning to do. If one can do it, I can do it. If none can do it, I must do it. See ? Simple as that. As I previously said, BP isn't a race, it's a community. And if I'm starting to edit something and you interfere then this is what happens "You and Wolfy having a race for most edits is getting immensely out of hand" - Quote from Deth. NO ! I am not involved in any kind of races. You're the overly competitive person. But enough is enough... Please, let me do my template job and kindly return to what you were doing. I don't know. Fix the type hypenation, the BP Archives need some love too. Check the Hub, there are a plentyful of incomplete articles. Why not complete some missing synopses ? With your vast lingual and grammatical experience thou shall do a most exquisite work with them. Anything but interfering in my work. Thank you Steph. ----DJWolfy 22:55, 17 June 2012 (UTC)

I'm starting to regret making public my realization that 'move tutor' might need to be capitalized if you won't let me scamper around the edges of your vision to feed on edit-crumbs you haven't yet located. But that's irrelevant. As you said, Bulbapedia is a community. There's a reason I hardly ever (not for a year at least) add to stub articles now: for the easiest ones, the character-of-the-day articles, I have to watch almost half an hour's worth of footage (from sources that are so difficult to find on the Internet for many episodes) to make a single edit. It's as inefficient as a neck-yoke horse plow to a combine tractor. Synopsises are even worse. To make a satisfactory synopsis, I have to watch (and sometimes re-watch specific parts of) an episode and then take an hour or more to write up one edit. (even if it's a mega edit, it's still only one edit) As for the Archives, many pictures are definitely needed, but it's hard to find those holes in the quilt that need to be patched with an image. They might not be few, but they're far between. But the type hyphenation? Maybe, although I might have already eaten practically every seed in the field when it comes to that, leaving the remaining ones (should they exist) hard to find and thus making it an inefficient endeavor. However, when it comes to errors in move templates...leave that to me. Steph (talk) 23:09, 17 June 2012 (UTC)
Rember what I previously said ? "I admit I've interfered once in yours but that was as a payback towards your for interfering in my Browser modification numbers". So what you're saying is that you only go for the edit count and not for the information count. That's the spirit ! And I'm the one getting yelled at. So what if it's a single edit ? I've completed at least twenty synopses before = 20 edits. As Deth said. It's about the quality not quantity.----DJWolfy 23:28, 17 June 2012 (UTC)

TRT

While I'm pretty sure about this, I still wish to ask you: When refering to JJM as a team then the correct form should be "Team Rocket made its appearance" instead of "made their appearance" because it refers to the team (even if it's the trio), right ?----DJWolfy 21:28, 20 June 2012 (UTC)

I believe so. The sentence "The group made its decision" seems to be grammatically correct, and Team Rocket (Jessie, James, Meowth) is a group. Steph (talk) 21:32, 20 June 2012 (UTC)
Then Voila ! I've got you the biggest chance to catch me up. Good luck correcting almost all articles. Though since it would be a major modification I suggest you ask 2-3 admins, preferably SM who's with the Syntax, Kenji and Adyniz with the Manual of Style or even Deth.----DJWolfy 21:49, 20 June 2012 (UTC)
Both are correct. The same goes for a number of other collective nouns, such as committee. "The committee made its stance known" and "The committee made their stance known" are equally correct. Werdnae (talk) 22:47, 20 June 2012 (UTC)

Team Snagem's Hideout

Hi Steph. You seem to be much better at the formatting and template stuff than I am and the Snagem Hideout page has some weird formatting on it. I don't have the faintest idea how to fix it so I figured I'd tell someone more experienced about it and let them fix it. Shambles12 (talk) 04:09, 21 August 2012 (UTC)
